ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 2005--Caribbean recording group ELVIS WHITE is showing their support for the Hurricane Katrina victims by donating proceeds from the sale from their "I PROMISE YOU" wristband directly to the Red Cross.

ELVIS WHITE, a seven-member band from the British Virgin Islands, no stranger to the deadly effects of tropical storms, pledged last month to donate a portion of the proceeds from their "PROMISE" inspired bracelets to support the Red Cross efforts to help hurricane victims around the world.

Hailing from different islands around the Caribbean, the members of ELVIS WHITE understand how devastating the effects of a natural disaster can be. Elvis, the band's front man and namesake, lost part of his beloved homeland to a natural disaster when the Soufriere Hills volcano, on the island of Montserrat, erupted and caused the evacuation of over 7,000 people from the small island of 10,000.

"We know the devastation of hurricanes and natural disasters," states Elvis. "Most of these wicked storms start in the Caribbean and spread toward the states...we have seen with our own eyes what they leave behind so our hearts go out to the families in Mississippi, New Orleans and Alabama. The Red Cross is one of the most incredible international humanitarian organizations in the world. They help families get back on their feet. We're honored to carry The Red Cross logo and assist, in a small way, their continued support in helping to rebuild lives."
