The Ecosystem Marketplace - the world's premier online source of information on environmental markets - announced its sponsorship of Ecological Assets in Business, a multi-industry workshop held March 13 and 14 in Palo Alto, California. EPRI Solutions, an affiliate of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), organized the first annual forum to bring together land management professionals to share strategies for managing eco-assets on corporate property.

"We are proud to sponsor Ecological Assets in Business," announced Ricardo Bayon, Director of the Ecosystem Marketplace. "There is a tremendous opportunity for corporations to reduce risks and even make money by managing their properties for maximum environmental benefit. This workshop gives professionals across many industries the chance to share lessons learned and gain important information that will help them realize these benefits."

The eco-assets workshop is designed to help businesses learn how to make money by supporting healthy natural resources on corporate lands, improve business performance and reduce permitting time and expense and reduce liabilities under the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act. Workshop sessions offered case studies of both successes and failures by companies that have established eco assets.
