MARLBOROUGH, Mass. - In an effort that demonstrates its continued community awareness and charitable involvements, Workscape, Inc., a proven provider of outsourced benefits and workforce management solutions, today announced that its recent employee-driven online auction raised $11,000 for the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society, which is applying the contribution to their 2006 "Relay For Life" event, is recognizing the Workscape donation as the largest among employee groups in the Assabet Valley area.

Carol Feinstein, community executive for development with the American Cancer Society, says, "Workscape's donation was the highest received in the Assabet Valley region and their generosity will help fund research, advocacy efforts and cancer patient support services."

"Community relations is a significant part of the Workscape culture. Our workforce is dedicated to providing individuals and organizations in need with charitable support," said Tim Clifford, president and CEO of Workscape. "Our recent charity auction's efforts to benefit the American Cancer Society are especially meaningful as our friend and valued employee, Dena Brown, passed away from melanoma this year. Our goal is to help raise awareness about the importance of understanding and combating this unfortunate disease."

Workscape's successful fundraising efforts began in 2001, when the Company raised over $10,000 in response to the September 11 attacks. Since then, Workscape has been instrumental in spearheading several other initiatives, including fundraising activities for Heifer International and the Idaho Humane Society. This year's auction also raised money for these same charities as well as for the local charity, Rebuilding Worcester.

Additionally, in 2003, Workscape was the first in the nation to serve as the charter corporate "role model" of WARM2Kids (We're All Role Models), an online membership community for inspiring teens and young adults to make positive life decisions. In that capacity, Workscape also donated technology services including hosting WARM2Kids' web site.
