GREENWICH, CT. - September 22, 2008 - Nestle Waters North America
continues to support Hurricane Ike disaster relief efforts with its most recent donation of more than 165,000 one-liter bottles of Ice Mountain(R) Brand Natural Spring Water. The American Red Cross is distributing the donations to evacuees and disaster relief volunteers in affected areas in Texas.

"The American Red Cross continues to provide families and individuals affected by Hurricanes Gustav, Ike and other disasters with comfort and hope. Our humanitarian mission is only possible through the generosity of our corporate partners, including Nestle Waters North America, and the American public," said Jeffrey T. Towers, chief development officer for the American Red Cross. "I would like to thank Nestle Waters North America for their continued support, providing our neighbors with one of life’s basic needs."

Last week, Nestle Waters North America provided more than 350,000 bottles of Ozarka(R) Brand Natural Spring Water to the communities affected by Hurricanes Ike and Gustav. The company also donated more than 300,000 bottles of water after Hurricane Gustav made landfall earlier this month. Since late July, Nestle Waters North America has provided more than 1,000,000 half-liter, liter and three-liter bottles of water to the communities affected by Hurricanes Ike and Gustav.

"When the American Red Cross requested additional potable water for the residents and aid workers, it was a challenge," said Alex McIntosh, director of corporate citizenship for Nestle Waters North America. "Our Texas and other regional factories were already working 24/7 to meet requests from our disaster partners, from FEMA, and from our customers in affected areas. Fortunately, our plant in Michigan had bottled water available, and our logistics team was able to move quickly. We are proud to play a role in the relief efforts."

Nestle Waters North America is committed to supplying clean water to citizens in need. The company has provided millions of bottles of water to residents and relief workers affected by natural disasters, including Hurricanes Dolly and Katrina, the tornadoes and subsequent floods that struck the Midwest earlier this year, and last year's California wildfires.
