NEW YORK, NY - Behind the wheel of a bus run solely on vegetable oil, Kopali Organics and Conscious Goods Caravan co-founders Stephen Brooks and Zak Zaidman tour the Northeast taking their "conscious lifestyle" message and products across the country. Along with an eclectic crew of veggie oil mechanics, social entrepreneurs and artists, Brooks and Zaidman have driven the Sustainable Solutions Caravan on straight recycled vegetable oil from San Francisco to Costa Rica for two consecutive years. They are now involving other conscious businesses in their tour across the United States, while visiting local community leaders, reporters, students, farmers and Whole Foods Market stores to promote the importance of organic agriculture, fair commerce, renewable energies and other sustainable solutions.

The Kopali team designed the "Veggie Bus" to function as a touring headquarters, mobile home and eco-show room featuring photovoltaic solar electricity, bamboo and palm wood interiors, natural latex cushions and an all-organic renewable energy kitchen with a recycled paper countertop. When Brooks and Zaidman are not living off-the-grid on their permaculture farm and sustainability education center in Costa Rica's rain forest, they are on the road working with other partners on their "triple-bottom-line" ventures -- businesses whose success and value are measured on social, ecological and financial returns.

Kopali Organics, the fair-commerce, organic label is currently working with sustainable farmers and producers in Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Bolivia, Turkey, Africa and other countries to introduce their products at Whole Foods Market stores in Southern California, Arizona, Nevada and soon in other regions.

"We look forward to the day when all businesses are as focused on improving people's lives and our planet's well-being as much as they are on the financial bottom line," says Zak Zaidman, Kopali's co-founder.

Other triple-bottom-line partners include:
PUNTA MONA - Off-the-grid, organic, permaculture farm, community and sustainability educational center established in 1997 in the rainforest of Costa Rica.
KOPALI COMMUNITIES - Developing ultra ecological towns and farm communities in Costa Rica.
KOPALI MEDIA - Conscious documentaries, music and books
COSTA RICAN ADVENTURES - Ecological-immersive tours for students of all ages, established in 1996.
THE GREEN ROOM - Incubating the above and other next generation triple-bottom-line ventures.

On June 26th the Travel Channel will air a program hosted by Brooks, executively produced by Zaidman and co-produced by E'lan Productions. The pilot "Edible Adventure: Costa Rica" features Brooks revealing the culture of sustainable farming and organic cuisine, visiting rural farmers, remote indigenous villages and restaurants, set against the backdrop of a land where the trees drip with fruit and its people with soul.

Together with CSRwire - the Newswire of Corporate Social Responsibility, Candle 79 - organic vegan elegant fare on the upper east side of Manhattan, the Green Room, Kopali and the Conscious Goods Caravan will host a party on Monday, June 26 at 8 p.m. ET at Pianos on 158 Ludlow Street at Stanton, New York, NY.
