In a Click Campaign, a corporate donor pledges an amount to support a nonprofit's field work. An audience of supporters opts in to receive a series of emails that describe the project and its outcomes. Audience members demonstrate their support by responding to each email, triggering an incremental gift from the corporate donor up to the pledged amount.
"We wanted to harness the power of the Internet to create a rapid and interactive experience among a widespread group. We also wanted to create a service that relies on cooperation to achieve a shared goal. This creates a community of advocacy and action where everyone benefits," says AIDE co-founder and CEO Beau Perry.
Consumers want companies to actively support the work of nonprofits and promote important causes. CauseAIDE provides a way for the public to directly affect the success of companies' cause marketing efforts. The result is an online experience that connects corporate donors with supporters of causes. "The key to CauseAIDE is the audience that we're able to attract. Active supporters enjoy participating in our campaigns, and they represent various lifestyles, preferences and interests," says Perry.
CauseAIDE customers include Pfizer and Working Assets. After funding a conservation project through a Click Campaign, Working Assets reported "one of the most impressive email response rates we've ever seen. CauseAIDE allowed us to target a desirable demographic segment with a genuine and inspiring message of corporate environmental commitment."
