The Andover and Franklin recipients are: Franklin Food Pantry, Lazarus House Ministries, Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity, Old Colony Habitat for Humanity, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and Wayside Youth and Family Support Network.

Putnam will also help St. Mary's transform the aging hospital rooms at Margaret's House, the agency's shelter for homeless families, into a warm, well cared for environment for homeless families with spaces for reading and studying.

Boston Medical Center's Family Advocacy Program

Since its inception in 1993, Boston Medical Center's Family Advocacy Program has successfully piloted a novel approach using legal advocacy onsite in the pediatric clinic to address the root causes of poor health in low-income children. The approach enhances traditional preventive pediatric care and ensures that children's basic needs are met, including food, safety, housing, and access to health care and appropriate education. In the past decade, the program has served more than 4,000 patient families.

St. Mary's Women and Children's Center

Since 1993, St. Mary's Women and Children's Center has been providing life-changing support services to homeless and low-income women, children, and families. A member of the Caritas Christi Health Care System, St. Mary's provides at-risk populations with the resources and skills necessary to build stable, healthy lives in the community through a comprehensive continuum of care.

Franklin Food Pantry

The Franklin Food Pantry provides groceries, services, and resources to financially stressed people so they may live in dignity without hunger and homelessness. Putnam's grant will be used to expand the hours the pantry is open to the public.

Lazarus House Ministries

Lazarus House helps the homeless and nearly homeless by providing immediate and ongoing support. Putnam's grant will be used toward job training and education.

Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity

Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build affordable housing. Putnam's grant will support an affordable housing development for seven families in Lawrence.

Old Colony Habitat for Humanity

Old Colony helps alleviate poverty housing by building decent, affordable homes for low-income families. Putnam's grant will help construct a single-family home on town-donated land in Plainville.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

St. Vincent de Paul Society works to provide public housing in collaboration with St. Mary's Church. Putnam's grant will support supplemental mortgage or rent payments for a family, affording them additional time to seek housing alternatives or new employment.

Wayside Youth and Family Support Network

The Wayside Youth and Family Support Network provides comprehensive, coordinated services for victims of domestic violence and their children including prevention, early intervention and rapid crisis response. Putnam's grant will be used to expand Wayside services in the area.
