HAWTHORNE, Calif. & ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 31, 2006--Cereplast(TM), Inc., (OTCBB:CERP) producer of proprietary bio-based resins, and Duni Corporation, manufacturer of high quality take-out containers and paper products for the foodservice and retail industry, today announced that they have partnered to produce sustainable take-out packaging. This new food packaging is 100% compostable and meets ever-increasing restaurant and consumer demand for environmentally friendly products.

Duni is known for high-quality, customized food containers. Both their hinged and two-piece containers are now available made from Cereplast sustainable resin. The Cereplast resins are made from renewable resources and are certified as compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI).

Cereplast resins are formulated from a patented and proprietary manufacturing process that incorporates starch and other biodegradable components, including PLA from NatureWorks(R) LLC.

"We are proud to be partnering with Duni, which is known world-wide for its commitment to innovative, well-designed and well-made packaging. Duni's foodservice containers made with Cereplast resins will lead the way in demonstrating that the time has arrived for retailers and restaurants to think about environmental solutions to disposable plastics," said Frederic Scheer, President and CEO of Cereplast.

Added Mikael Nordin, President and COO of Duni Corporation, "Cereplast's resins offer a flexible, practical solution for sustainable foodservice containers. Working together, we have created an environmentally-friendly product that will have a wide range of applications and address consumer interest in seeing renewable solutions in food packaging."
