GREENFIELD, MA - February 19, 2008 - The latest in cutting-edge sustainable (residential and commercial) building materials and products, renewable energy technologies, and green design and construction services, will highlight the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association's (NESEA) 33rd annual Building Energy Conference and Trade Show, March 11-13 at Boston's Seaport World Trade Center.

The Trade Show is open on March 12 from 10:30 am - 7:00 pm and on March 13 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. The public is invited to attend the Trade Show on March 12 (for $30) and March 13 (for $20). Sustainable exhibitors from across New England and the United States, as well as international exhibitors, will fill the Trade Show floor with excitement and ways to reduce the carbon footprint and energy requirements of buildings.

Trade Show attendees have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with residential and commercial architects, engineers, and designers; solar electric and hot water installers; government agencies; representatives of trade publications; clean energy organizations; renewable electricity providers; sustainable building product companies and others.

Kevin Maroney, NESEA's BuildingEnergy08 Exhibit Coordinator, said, "The BuildingEnergy08 trade show is an extraordinary opportunity to learn about the latest products and services related to renewable energy and sustainability. I encourage anyone looking for expert advice to visit the trade show floor."

BuildingEnergy08 is expected to draw over 3,500 attendees for three days of workshops, sessions, and networking opportunities. At a time when others are starting to recognize the importance of a green focus, NESEA continues to be the absolute best source of information and resources for professionals, students and the general public, as it has for over thirty years. NESEA's years of experience have helped the organization develop the seeds for the solutions to building green that so many people are utilizing today, solutions that not only help to reduce building emissions, but also to reduce the impact of rising energy costs.

NESEA's familiarity in the fields of sustainability and green building make BuildingEnergy08 the place to learn and have some fun, too! An evening trade show reception on Wednesday, March 12 is an opportunity for attendees to enjoy exceptional information-sharing and networking opportunities with other professionals working on clean energy generation and green building design and construction. NESEA Night will follow the reception at 7:00 pm with final bidding on a wide variety of sustainable, recycled, and green silent and live auction items.

Elvis is Green AND in the Building! This Elvis lives a green life, drives a Prius, recycles, and eats organically. Enjoy entertainment by the world's best young Elvis tribute artist, Travis LeDoyt, and you may leave NESEA Night all shook up!! In addition, Pecha Kucha is an opportunity for you to share your exciting project on the NESEA stage. One rule: you have only 6 minutes and 40 seconds to present 20 slides (go to buildingenergy.nesea.org/pecha.kucha.phpto submit your presentation).

BuildingEnergy08 hosts a free public forum on Tuesday, March 11, The Boston Green Tea Party: An Energy Revolution! which will be moderated for the third year by Jim Braude, host of NECN's NewsNight and co-host of Eagan and Braude, 96.9 FM. A panel that includes four of the nation's top energy activists will be on hand to discuss the energy revolution underway and to take your burning questions.

On Thursday, March 13, BuildingEnergy08 will present Everything's Cool, a documentary film featuring prominent global warming messengers, including Ross Gelbspan and Bill McKibben. A tour of the green Seaport Hotel is also available.

Alex Wilson, President, Building Green, Inc., Brattleboro, VT, will offer the Keynote Presentation at BuildingEnergy08 Plenary Session on Wednesday, March 12 at 8:45 a.m. His presentation, "Integrated Solutions to the Tangled Problems of Energy, Environment, Water, and Health," will provide a look into the challenges stemming from the end of cheap oil, water shortages, climate change, and health concerns. He will indicate how they are linked, and suggest answers to the tough questions of how to address these concerns simultaneously, not individually.
