SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 2006--LivHOME, Inc., the premier provider of at-home services for seniors, announced today the successful launch of its Enrichment Program on Monday, August 14, 2006. This no-cost program for LivHOME clients provides stimulation and socialization for seniors who might otherwise not have the opportunity to socialize with their peers, and respite for their caregivers.

The workshops are led by Lenore Palmer, a RN who has a background in Creative Arts Therapies. Lenore, originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, moved to Santa Barbara in 1979. Here, she has continued the use of music, art, and movement to enrich the lives of individuals, young and old, in the fields of health and education. Lenore looks forward to working with LivHOME clients in an atmosphere of fun, creativity, and relaxation.

"It was wonderful to see the interaction between our clients of different cognitive levels," says Bonnie Craig, Executive Director of LivHOME's Santa Barbara offices. Lenore presented sandscapes in which each client took different materials he or she felt represented his or her life, then each had a turn to discuss the importance of each phase while listening to classical music. "You could really see clients lighting up and connecting with others in the group," she adds. "We have clients with daily caregiving, as well as those who utilize our Comfrere Program, which may be just a few hours of social companionship monthly." Any LivHOME client is welcome to participate in the Enrichment Program.
