LAKEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 30, 2006--Video Professor, a national computer education company, today launched the Video Professor Tillie Foundation, a non-profit foundation educating youths about safe driving practices. The foundation started its engines at the Indy 500(R) with the help of their mascot mannequin, "Tillie." A key element of the foundation website is the new, interactive "Rookie Driver Test," an online assessment tool designed to help families and teens begin a dialogue around common distractions behind the wheel. According to the Centers for Disease Control, traffic accidents are the No.1 killer of young people ages 15-24.

Tillie received national attention this spring when a Colorado carpool-lane offender was charged with using her as a human passenger to fit the capacity guidelines of an HOV lane. As part of his sentence, a judge ordered the offender to auction Tillie on eBay(R) and donate the proceeds to the Colorado State Patrol Family Foundation's Alive-at-25 program, a driver education program for youths aged 15-24. Video Professor purchased Tillie for $15,000 with the intent to elevate her status from mannequin to universal driving safety symbol and in her name, created the Video Professor Tillie Foundation.

"America's young drivers partake in more risk-taking behavior during the summer, such as driving with too many passengers late at night, and often do not have proper training on the dangers that lead to automotive accidents," said Video Professor CEO and founder John Scherer. "As a sponsor of the IRL(R) 2005 Rookie of the Year Danica Patrick, we support the value of gaining driving experience. The Rookie Driver Test was designed as an online tool to help parents to have a conversation with teens about the rules of the road before handing over the keys."

Tillie and Scherer introduced the Rookie Driver Test at the Indy 500 over Memorial Day weekend to promote the launch of the Video Professor Tillie Foundation. Teens and parents in attendance were given exclusive access to the online multiple-choice test and checked their answers against young drivers across the country. The test can be found at www.videoprofessortilliefoundation.org.
