CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 12, 2006--PolyVision Corporation, a Steelcase Company (NYSE:SCS) and the world leader in visual communication products, today announced GREENGUARD Certification of all marker and tack boards manufactured by PolyVision in the U.S. for commercial and educational environments. This certification by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) assures customers that the PolyVision products they are using support a healthy indoor air environment and do not emit harmful chemicals.

PolyVision has also met the coveted high qualifications set by the GEI for products that will be used by children in schools and daycare facilities. More susceptible to exposure of environmental toxins, children consume more food, water, and have higher inhalation rates per pound of body weight than adults. In support of this, the GEI has established controls to define low-emitting materials for educational and learning/play environments for young children.

"PolyVision is thrilled to be the first and only manufacturer in the industry to receive GREENGUARD Certification for markerboards and tackboards," said Mike Dunn, CEO and President of PolyVision. "This is one additional step we have taken to fulfil PolyVision's broader commitment to the environment and to continue to provide products that best support the needs - and the health - of our customers."

To be certified, PolyVision engaged in numerous indoor air quality examinations where emissions testing was performed on all products in each certification category to determine that the products comply with the emissions levels set. This process is ongoing and PolyVision will undergo quarterly and annual confirmation testing of products represented in each certification category.

"At GEI we are committed to improving public health and quality of life through programs that improve indoor air," said Carl Smith, CEO and Executive Director of GEI. "We are delighted that PolyVision has made GREENGUARD part of their vision of a green environment. They should be recognized for taking a leadership position in the marker and tack board industry and for their significant commitment to the environment and to the safety of their products."

PolyVision will have a presence in showrooms 303, 1032, and 11-100 at this year's NeoCon World's Trade Fair in Chicago, Illinois. The company will showcase several of the GREENGUARD Certified markerboards from their Premium Whiteboard Line, their new collaboration tool - Thunder(TM) Virtual Flipchart(TM) System, and a broad portfolio of interactive products.
