SYOSSET, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 2006--On the heels of the newly enacted federal Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act, SearchHelp, Inc. today announced it has launched the totally free website sentrypredatorlocator.com, that tracks registered sex offenders everywhere across the country. The site supports the debut last month at nationwide retail outlets of the company's newest child protection product, 'Sentry Predator Locator(TM)'.

The new, no-cost website is a powerful online service designed to help parents, schools, law enforcement and businesses identify all registered sex offenders residing in their respective neighborhoods. SearchHelp is a leading provider of a broad range of software products designed to inform parents and protect children from the online threat of sexual predators.

Sentrypredatorlocator.com is the first site to locate sexual predators that combines extensive search and identification functionality, including enhanced photo imagery, with complete "rap sheets" on the individuals, derived from a continually updated national database. The site is powered by SearchHelp's unique 'Sentry Predator Locator' software, one of the most comprehensive software products of its kind on the market. This software features enhanced nationwide search and identification functionality augmented with an instant alert system not available to users of the website.

"The signing by President Bush of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act is an important first step in dealing with the rapidly escalating number of Internet sexual predators targeting young children around the country using instant messaging and chat rooms. With public attention focused on this serious issue, we felt it imperative to introduce both this versatile product and the related free website at this time," said Bill Bozsnyak, CEO of SearchHelp. "Clearly there is still much work to be done by Congress, the Department of Justice and the individual states to ensure the most complete and accurate registry for the public. Real-time information, using the most advanced technology is what it will take. That is why we are pleased to offer the public additional tools with the latest technology to protect children from these very real dangers - whether predators, pornography or other inappropriate content - that is an unfortunate by-product of the Internet."

Besides the information and search capabilities provided by the new website, purchasers of the full retail software product will not only be able to see exactly where registered sex offenders live within an enhanced 1 to 200 mile radius from any geographic location or nationwide, they will also be provided with proactive notification of any change in the address status of a local sex offender via email, cell phone text message (SMS) or desktop icon. In addition, the application is the first to support the same type of real-time notifications for localized Amber Alerts. 'Sentry Predator Locator' is available at nationwide retailers including CompUSA, OfficeMax, Fry's Electronics and Meijer stores as well as from SearchHelp.com.
SearchHelp's 'Sentry' line of security products provides real-time information to parents allowing them to pro-actively monitor their children's online activities from almost anywhere in the world. This is a significant advance over traditional passive "block and filter" technology that only limits a child's exposure to objectionable content including pornography. SearchHelp's 'Sentry' products enable parents to receive instant email or visual alerts on their computers or PDAs and SMS text messages sent to their cell phones when questionable activity occurs, for example, when the child is asked sensitive or private information on an instant message or chat.
