PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 2006--Cutters Gloves was named as a sponsor and Official Glove of the Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) and the Snooper Bowl. The SYFL, comprised of 50 football teams for boys and girls ages 7-17, was founded in 2004 by platinum recording artist Snoop Dogg as a way to make football and cheer more accessible to kids. Girls are involved in cheer programs.

As part of the five-year agreement, Cutters will provide the SYFL players with their high-performance athletic gloves. Additionally, Cutters is funding and helping to develop the League's "It's In Your Hands" Enrichment Program, focused on academic progress, character development, and social responsibility.

"We look forward to building a long-term relationship with the SYFL, and are impressed with the passion and dedication of the parents and community members who are driving the League's sports programs and mentorship," said Jeff and Laura Beraznik, co-founders, Cutters. "We feel fortunate to be a part of this important program, which will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on its participants."

Each year, one SYFL member will be honored with the Cutters Achievement Award, based on academic progress, sportsmanship, and character. The winner will be awarded with a scholarship fund, as well as an all-expenses-paid trip to the Snooper Bowl - an annual event held in the same city and at the same time as the NFL Super Bowl.

Regarding Cutters and the SYFL, Snoop Dogg commented, "Thank you for helping my kids out. We couldn't do this without people like you who believe in the Snoop Youth Football League. It's easy for a kid to join a gang - we need to make it easier to play football. The SYFL is on to something so fresh and productive for our youth, and we are also all about helping the boys and girls off the field. We thank Cutters for being a part of it. Cutters gloves are for real!"

"The gloves we're giving the Snoop Youth Football League are the same ones used by the pros, and in leading high school and college programs across the country," said Jeff Beraznik. "We've also designed a custom glove specifically for Coach Snoop."

Laura Beraznik, who in addition to her responsibilities at Cutters is a licensed psychologist, continued, "We are working closely with SYFL administrators on a program that will help boys and girls improve scholastically, foster personal growth, and guide them in contributing positively to their communities. Twice a week, the SYFL kids will have access to after-school tutoring, and will participate in a community group project."

Founded in 1997, Cutters develops and markets sports gloves that are preferred for their performance advantages by many athletes, from NFL icons to college, high school, and recreational players. The company is not only known as a market leader in football, but also manufactures grips and gloves for baseball players of all levels including MLB, and is preparing to launch a re-engineered golf line in fall 2006.
