In conjunction with the 2004 Democratic National Convention, KeySpan sponsored an event to highlight findings from The Partnership's report entitled "Race and Leadership: Benchmarking Boston's Progress in the Workplace." Held at the Kennedy Library, the event showcased Boston's progress thus far in diversity management and emphasized Boston's responsibility to develop young professionals of color. Although the study did show that the Boston area's growth rate for professionals of color was competitive with many other metropolitan cities, The Partnership identified several possible areas for improvement. To help address these areas, KeySpan worked with The Partnership to help develop its College to Career Program.

The Partnership's College to Career Program provides students with the support they need to meet Boston based employers and to make a successful transition from a college student to a career professional. In addition, students build relationships with successful professionals of color and learn how to use leadership strategies for a positive contribution in the workplace and in their community.
