Great Falls, MT- November 27, 2006 - The Wireless Alliance, a leader in cell phone recycling and reuse, today announced a new cell phone recycling program with Montana based, Chinook Wireless. The program will provide a no cost, hassle free way for residents across Montana to recycle their used cell phones, batteries and chargers online or at local Chinook Wireless retail stores.

Beginning today, Chinook Wireless is making prepaid mailing envelopes available on their Web site. Chinook will also put cell phone recycling boxes at their 8 retail stores throughout Montana. The public can drop off their old cell phones, regardless of the make, model or condition at one of the Chinook locations or use the prepaid mailing envelope from the Chinook Wireless web site to mail in their used or unwanted cell phones for recycling or other responsible reuse.

All equipment mailed in the prepaid envelopes goes to The Wireless Alliance, Chinook's authorized cell phone recycling partner. The Wireless Alliance is able to utilize approximately two thirds of the cell phones it collects for resale throughout the United States.

"All the products that cannot be refurbished are shredded down and recycled according to EPA regulations," said Jon Newman, Vice President of The Wireless Alliance. "Our goals are to educate the public about cell phone recycling and to reduce the amount of electronic waste that is making its way into our landfills."

"Chinook encourages all its customers, as well as residents throughout the state of Montana, to take advantage of this simple and free way to help protect our environment," said Rebecca Morgan, Marketing Director for Chinook "The employees of Chinook Wireless live, work and play in Montana and support recycling efforts that protect the environment of this great state. As your Montana-based wireless provider, we're pleased to bring this cell phone recycling program to Montana."

"We are proud to partner with Chinook Wireless to help create a cleaner environment in the state of Montana," said Peter Schindler, President of The Wireless Alliance. "Every cell phone reused or recycled is one less created or thrown away which also reduces environmentally destructive metals mining practices," said Schindler.
