Royal Philips Electronics published its Sustainability Annual Report 2006 on 19 February 2007.

Assured by KPMG, the report highlights the company’s sustainability strategy of affordable and accessible healthcare and energy efficient solutions as well as giving a detailed insight in its social, economic and environmental performance.

Philips, which makes medical systems, (energy efficient) lighting, domestic appliances and personal care products as well as electronic goods, reported that sales of its Green Products rose to more than EUR 4 billion in 2006. This is the result of the company’s EcoDesign drive over the past decade and its investment of more than EUR 400 million in Green Lighting Technologies over the last five years. Philips will increase this investment by more than EUR 100 million yearly the coming years.
