January 25, 2008 - Following the success of last year's Money Conference entitled "CEO & CSR 2007: Mainstreaming Corporate Social Responsibility in Business Strategy", which was organised in exclusive co-operation with EuroCharity and the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence, Money Conferences is proud to present its second CEO & CSR Conference 2008 entitled "Cradle to Cradle: Rethinking The Way We Do Business". This invitation-only conference and networking event is scheduled to take place at the Hilton Athens on May 28, 2008.

The CEO & CSR Conference's mission is to be Greece's most prominent annual event and platform where corporate leaders have the opportunity to network, do business and engage in an open dialogue with top experts and fellow captains of industry who focus on the Triple Bottom Line (Profits, Planet and People) of their social, environmental and economic successes, and explore more innovative, sustainable and responsible ways of doing business. The conference is co-organised by Money Conferences in exclusive co-operation with EuroCharity, owner and publisher of Greece's Corporate Social Responsibility Directory (www.eurocharity.org/en), and the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) (www.cse-net.org).

Last year's CEO & CSR Conference was attended by 200 business leaders, senior executives, top experts, government and media representatives from Greece and overseas. The one-day event featured a healthy mix of plenary sessions, three central panels which focused on "CSR Leadership: The Impact of CSR on Publicly-listed Companies", "CSR Success: Business as Unusual" and "CSR Focus: The Challenges of Climate Change", accompanied by a hands-on workshop. H.E. Stavros Kalafatis, Deputy Minister of Development, H.E. Thomas M. Countryman, the Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the the U.S. Embassy in Athens, Mrs. Imogen Dillon-Hatcher (Managing Director for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, FTSE Group), Mr. Peter Koster (Chairman, European Climate Exchange (ECX)), Mr. Paul Simpson (Chief Operating Officer, Carbon Disclosure Project) and others were among the conference's well-respected expert speakers from overseas. The inaugural gathering came to a close with the "CEO & CSR Awards 2007" ceremony, in which prestigious organisations and senior executives were awarded for their CSR actions.

This year's CEO & CSR Conference aims at introducing Greece's business leaders and decision-makers to a fairly new concept that was born in the United States and Germany: "Cradle to Cradle" or C2C for short. It seeks to introduce its distinguished audience to Cradle to Cradle, show them the benefits and demonstrate successful case studies (e.g. Ford Motor Company's landmark River Rouge factory). The conference boasts an impressive line-up of high-calibre speakers from Europe and the United States.

Mr. Joe Sibilia (CEO, Meadowbrook Lane Capital, LLC and President, CSRwire, LLC) will be among the roster of speakers.

The conference programme will be divided into 10 different sessions - four panels and six workshops – which will focus on four main themes: Cradle to Cradle: Introducing the Concept, Sustainable Finance, Sustainable Building and Climate Change Solutions.

Within this context, the CEO & CSR Conference 2008 entitled "Cradle to Cradle: Rethinking The Way We Do Business" will offer unique opportunities to leading CEOs, decision-makers and entrepreneurs in Greece and beyond to share their mission, values, vision and sustainability agenda with their peers, benefit from numerous networking breaks and at the same time engage in interactive discussions focusing on business strategy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), climate change and sustainable development solutions for the 21st century.

The CEO & CSR Conference will be coming to a close with the Money Magazine’s "CEO & CSR Awards 2008" ceremony. The award nominees will be selected by the Conference Organising Committee, while Money Week's 49,000 readers and EuroCharity’s 12,000+ "opt-in" bi-weekly E-newsletter receivers -- through an on-line poll scheduled to be carried out in early May 2008 -- will be given the opportunity to vote for the companies that they believe should receive these prestigious awards.
