Business Leaders Gather in New York City to Prioritize Sustainability Initiatives

BURLINGAME, CA - September 16, 2008 - Sustainable Life Media (SLM), the leading producer of sustainable business conferences and newsletters, announced today speakers for its Sustainable Business Success (SBS-NYC) conference to be held October 29 in New York. SBS-NYC will connect business leaders with experts from a variety of fields who will share their experiences deriving bottom line benefit by adapting sustainable operations, including purchasing, facilities management, transportation and logistics and IT, in their businesses.

Chaired by two sustainable operations veterans, Will Sarni, CEO of DOMANI Sustainability Consulting and Andrew Winston, principal of Winston Eco-Strategies and author of Green to Gold, SBS-NYC will identify new standards in efficiency and quality being driven by adopting sustainability as a mindset.

In addition to Winston and Sarni, SBS-NYC speakers will include Rand Waddoups, senior director of corporate strategy and sustainability for Wal-Mart; Toni Rossi, manager of programs and operational support, Xerox; Ed Madzy, director, product stewardship/product regulation, BASF; Anthony Owens, senior director, corporate citizenship, Sodexo; Margaret Lydecker, green office consultant, VH1; Nick Ellis, Bright Green Talent and many others, each of whom has experience driving successful sustainability initiatives throughout their corporation.

The conference is being held in an intimate setting designed to encourage strong audience Q&A throughout. Faculty members will each host a lunch table discussion as well, providing further opportunity to dive in to deeper discussion. Registered attendees can choose to join the faculty member of their choice for lunch on a first come, first served basis.
