Ten-Week Master Class Equips New Sustainability Champions to Lead from Within
BETHESDA, MD. - November 5, 2008 - Strategic Sustainability Consulting (SSC) announced today its newest webinar series, designed specifically for employees newly tasked with leading their organizations towards sustainability.
"For the past two years, we've offered online webinars designed to help companies to go green," said SSC President Jennifer Woofter. "Now we've put it all together in a webinar series designed for internal sustainability champions. It will equip participants with the skills and resources necessary to conduct a sustainability audit, engage employees, set effective goals, and communicate progress. It will also provide a wealth of "electives" on more specific topics, like conducting a waste audit or developing an eco-purchasing system."
In addition, over the 10-week series, each CSO Master Class participant will work with SSC consultants and instructors to develop a strategic sustainability plan that transforms the concepts presented in the classes into a concrete action plan to integrate sustainability into their respective organizations.
The class is open to all internal sustainability champions, such as Chief Sustainability Officers, CSR Program Managers, Sustainability Directors, or Green Team Leaders. It is primarily designed for individuals who have been in their positions for fewer than six months, but can be useful for CSOs that need to take their sustainability efforts to a higher level.
