WASHINGTON, D.C. - September 10, 2008 - APCO Worldwide has made a commitment to the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), a forum bringing together a community of global leaders to devise and implement innovative solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges, to assist its members in publicizing the impact of their commitments, Margery Kraus, APCO president and chief executive officer, announced today.
As part of APCO's CGI Commitment to Action, the consultancy will help other CGI members garner interest for the causes they are addressing, demonstrate their success and highlight the wide-ranging achievements of CGI as a whole.

Former President Bill Clinton launched CGI, a project of the non-partisan Clinton Foundation, in 2005 as a catalyst for action. Since then, CGI members have made nearly 1,000 Commitments to Action valued at upwards of $30 billion to improve more than 200 million lives in over 150 countries around the world.
Additionally, APCO will provide communication support for attendees at the 2008 CGI Annual Meeting, to be held in New York September 23 - 26. For CGI members, this will also include media training and coordinating meetings with relevant journalists.
