Office Depot Foundation Joins with NFL Star Jason Taylor to Support Educational Opportunities for South Florida Youth

DELRAY BEACH, FL.- July 27, 2007- The Office Depot Foundation, the independent foundation serving as the primary charitable giving arm of Office Depot (NYSE:ODP), today announced a new partnership with the Jason Taylor Foundation. Through this relationship, The Office Depot Foundation is contributing $25,000 as well as computers, backpacks and school supplies to the Jason Taylor Foundation in support of its philanthropic mission to brighten the future for children in South Florida. In addition, the Office Depot Foundation will donate $1,000 for every sack of an opposing quarterback that the Miami Dolphins All-Pro Defensive End makes during the 2007-2008 football season.
Taylor, the 2006 Associated Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year, is widely acknowledged for his charitable efforts. He and his wife, Katina, established the Jason Taylor Foundation in 2004. The Office Depot Foundation donations were announced at the Office Depot Global Headquarters in Delray Beach.

In July 2004, Miami Dolphins All-Pro Defensive End Jason Taylor and his wife, Katina, established the Jason Taylor Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
