More sustainable approach to cleaning reduces energy use and operating costs while improving quality of cleaning service

STURTEVANT, WI – March 23, 2009 - JohnsonDiversey today announced the launch of Daylight Cleaning(TM), a new component of the company's comprehensive Sustainable Facility CareSM program. JohnsonDiversey is introducing Daylight Cleaning(TM) through a partnership with DCS Global Enterprises LP, a leading provider of daylight cleaning consulting services.

"Our goal is to not only practice sustainability in all we do, but to help our customers become more sustainable in their operations," said JohnsonDiversey President and CEO Ed Lonergan. "Daylight Cleaning(TM) will help our customers achieve significant, measurable reductions in energy use and greenhouse gas emissions."

Daylight Cleaning(TM) can reduce lighting, heating and cooling at night, which has been proven to provide average-sized office towers energy savings of up to 8 percent per year. Daylight Cleaning(TM) also improves customer satisfaction by making cleaning staff available during peak working hours, providing building occupants with the service they request when they request it.

Daylight Cleaning(TM) is a component of JohnsonDiversey's Sustainable Facility CareSM program, a comprehensive approach to improving the environmental and operational performance of buildings. Together, JohnsonDiversey and DCS provide customers an integrated sustainable cleaning solution that includes green-certified products, processes, communication support and consultative services.

DCS has been successfully converting buildings to Daylight Cleaning(TM) since 2003, resulting in energy savings, reducing cleaning staff turnover, increasing building security and decreasing light pollution.

"We're thrilled to be working with JohnsonDiversey because the company has such a strong commitment to the highest standards of health, safety and environmental responsibility in facility care," said Mauro Scigliano, President and CEO of DCS. "Through our partnership, customers will achieve not only the JohnsonDiversey launches Daylight Cleaning(TM) benefits of daylight cleaning, but the support of one of the cleaning industry's leading sustainable cleaning experts."

JohnsonDiversey is showcasing Daylight Cleaning(TM) in its global headquarters facility, the fourth building in the United States to be certified under the Leadership for Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings rating system. By switching to Daylight Cleaning(TM), the company expects to reduce building energy usage by 25,000 kilowatts per month and reduce its carbon dioxide emissions by 25.6 metric tons per year.

"Our Global Headquarters is a showcase for sustainable facility management," Lonergan said, "so Daylight Cleaning(TM) is a natural extension of our commitment to finding new ways to provide for a cleaner, healthier future."
