SAN FRANCISCO,CA. - September 23, 2008 - RED Direct, a direct marketing agency practicing "Marketing with Meaning", announces the launch of EarthSayers.tv, the voices of sustainability. EarthSayers creates a valuable new link between the people who seek education and motivation on sustainability online and the sustainability-minded enterprises which present their services, products and successes through online sites.

RED Direct moves beyond the basic online search through the aggregation of specific themed content. EarthSayers.tv screens over 30,000 hits delivered by Blinkx on the search term 'sustainability'. It adds value by screening for relevancy, timeliness and quality. It provides its viewers with digests, producer details and related links. A site specific Content Map, a taxonomy for sustainability, helps organize and find subject and speaker information.

The EarthSayers Network breaks onto the scene at a time when more and more people, especially affluent boomers, are looking for ways to make a sustainable lifestyle their number one priority. This interest dovetails with the needs of sustainability-minded companies to deliver value-added services than can help people do this at home, at work, and in their community.

Founder Ruth Ann Barrett says, "Beyond our unique web resource, we aim to build a vibrant EarthSayers community, a blend of LinkedIn and Facebook. And because we want to encourage active dialog within our community, we’ll be building a collaboration platform on the order of WebEx.

RED Direct is currently identifying potential sponsors who have a sustainability initiative and a solid reputation for Corporate Social Responsibility; sponsors who see the value of being sustainability evangelists and who are amongst the leading-edge companies and organizations addressing sustainability. We are offering sponsorship programs for companies seeking a reputation-building environment to market sustainability goals and targets at the thought-leadership level.

Quotes from Founder Ruth Ann Barrett:

"Searching is one thing, finding something is another. Blinkx search results on the term, sustainability, are now over 30,000. Where to start digging? Duplicates, links that don't work, poor broadcast quality, and inappropriate context accounts for over 50% of these results making finding relevant and quality content very hard work."

"The United States is in the bottom ten (sometime sixth, other times, eighth) in sustainability traffic on Google, a benchmark of non-awareness. It's time to take what we have learned about marketing complex, disruptive technologies and apply it to increasing sustainability awareness."

"Affluent boomers and their adult children are early adopters of the Web and technology in general as both consumers and as business leaders and managers. With EarthSayers we are applying what have learned from marketing technology on the B2B side and are applying it to increasing sustainability awareness on the B2C side. We find the Internet has blurred much of the distinction between B2B and B2C and we aim to take advantage of that fact."

"From the list of Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World we are seeking four sponsors to fund the build-out of EarthSayers.tv and an EarthSayers Network. Because of the low awareness of sustainability here in the U.S., we are focusing initially on the seventeen U.S. companies on that list."

About RED Direct
In 1994 Ruth Ann founded RED Direct, a San Francisco based response advertising agency, to provide high tech clients with objective, relevant information for their executive level prospects. Red Direct pioneered Strategic Executive Marketing(R), a relationship marketing program targeting C-level executives and positioning cllients as thought leaders. Clients include many start-ups such as Commerce One and Ask Jeeves as well as Red Hat, Juniper Networks, WebEx, Recourse Technologies, Vertical Networks, Wyse Technology, New Channel and Motiva. The EarthSayers.tv is a project of RED Direct and the development of the prototype is part of Red Direct's sustainability initiative. Our objective is to apply what we have learned from marketing complex, often disruptive products and services to increasing sustainability awareness.

As staff and consultants to RED Direct, LLC, a marketing agency specializing in Strategic Executive Marketing(R), and as part of our CSR mission, we have undertaken the development of a prototype, released May 22, 2008, the first U.S. Website dedicated to the sustainability movement and featuring the voices of sustainability. Our CSR mission is to apply what we know to marketing sustainability, driving it into the mainstream. At www.earthsayers.tv the voices (audio and video) are of experts, business and civic leaders, teachers, students, and citizens from all walks of life. The voices are gathered from across the Internet and we add value by reviewing content for relevancy and quality. Earthsayers.tv is a premier branding environment for sponsors- public, private, or non-profit organizations - with sustainability initiatives, a proven CSR track record, and the desire to increase the voices of sustainability - their own and others. The roll-out of the site will include an EarthSayers Network, a blend of communities such as Linkedin (professional), Facebook (social), and WebEx (communications) with the objective of leveraging the collective wisdom of experts, leaders, and citizens. We welcome the opportunity to discuss our ideas with like-minded business leaders. Visit EarthSayers.tv to see what we mean.
