NEW YORK, NY. - May 15, 2009 - The Opportunity Collaboration has announced that Filippo Bozotti, co-founder and producer of Article 19 Films, will be presenting "Leveraging the Media: A Case Study from Sierra Leone" at the global poverty forum, convening on October 17, World Poverty Day.

Mr. Bozotti's presentation will explore how Article 19 Films utilized the documentary "Bling," produced in association with VH1 and the UNDP, as a platform to launch and fundraise for their nonprofit, Shine on Sierra Leone - which focuses on microcredits, education and sustainable green development.

"There is an important need in the nonprofit world to maximize reach by leveraging the media. Our experiences in Sierra Leone have proved that a film can be used as a starting platform to build a campaign, and inspire millions of viewers to take action," says Bozotti. "I am excited about the Opportunity Collaboration summit as it gives hundreds of top NGO’s the occasion to share experiences and collaborate with one another to maximize the impact we make on the ground."

Born in Milan, Italy, Bozotti is a founding partner of Article 19 Films and co-founder of Shine On Sierra Leone. His credits include the "Tribeca Film Festival 2006 Lockdown," "USA" and "Bling," produced in association with VH1 and UNDP. Currently, he is producing the documentary "If I was President" and an untitled Roger Spottiswoode/Lekha Singh documentary on reconciliation and justice.

"Bozotti's work fits perfectly with what the Opportunity Collaboration is about - leveraging resources and creating influential partnerships," states Collaboration CEO Jonathan C. Lewis. "Bozotti's work is exceptional, high-impact and compelling. He will have a unique opportunity to share insights with other Delegates and to pursue concrete actions for real solutions and new partnerships to advance economic injustice."
