Lipsey Water Donates 1.2 Million Bottles of Water to Haiti

Today, in an effort to assist in humanitarian relief for the recent tragedy in Haiti, Lipsey Water, the nation's largest governmental bottled water supplier for disaster relief, donated 1.2 million bottles of water for immediate delivery through Louisiana's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP).

When asked about this, company president, Mr. Joe Lipsey stated, "It is most appropriate that I point out that, like all other Louisianans with our repeated experience with the tragedy of natural disaster, I am moved by heartfelt sorrow, as are we all, when we think of the multiple horrors to which the people of Haiti are now subjected."

On behalf of their companies, Lipsey Logistics, LLC and the Lipsey Mountain Spring Water division of Composite Analysis Group, Inc., made this donation for the relief of the suffering caused by the life-threatening scarcity of drinking water available to those in Haiti. This emergency distribution on the island will help to alleviate suffering and bring comfort to the people.

Today's donation is consistent with Lipsey Water's history of compassion for the suffering. After Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma inflicted the people in the U.S. and outlying areas with grievous harm, Lipsey Water donated five million bottles of water over time, to food banks, for use in the relief effort.

Not incidentally, Lipsey Water was praised by a fellow Louisianan, General Russel Honore, for the prompt and efficient delivery of over five hundred million liters, which Lipsey Logistics and Transport was contracted and tasked by the leadership of the affected states and federal agencies. Lipsey Water has since continued to continuously maintain large stocks of quickly available supplies from which this water will be drawn, as well as fleets of trucks and air transport to get the goods where they are needed.

Lipsey's EOC, in Atlanta, Georgia, was activated to 24-hour status this past Wednesday. Should any need be requested of it by the U.S. State Department, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA), National Response Coordination Center (NRCC), Department of Defense (DOD), U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the American Red Cross, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or the Clinton Foundation, it will remain on 24-hour activation until all requirements are met.
