SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 13 /CSRwire/ - In less than one week, business leaders from around the globe will gather at the BSR Conference 2009 to develop sustainability strategies for a world that has been "reset" by a trio of global crises: the sharp worldwide recession, accelerating climate change, and a collapse of trust in business.

The BSR Conference 2009, "Reset Economy. Reset World.," takes place October 20 to 23 in San Francisco, and features:

  • Experts in sustainable business, including the CEOs of eBay and Alcatel-Lucent, as well as the Chairman and CEO of China's BROAD Air Conditioning, a pioneer in the country's green-tech industry.
  • Thought leaders such as TED Prize winner and oceanographer Sylvia Earle, author and international mediation consultant Adam Kahane, and "serial innovator" John Kao.
  • Sessions and workshops on business and climate change, innovation, sustainable consumption, the state of sustainability in China, public-private partnerships, and more.
  • Results from BSR/GlobeScan's survey of Conference participants on the "State of Sustainable Business" (available Thursday October 22).

For more information on an event that Forbes.com ranks among the top 12 influential executive gatherings for 2009, follow these links to the agenda, sessions, and speakers.

Members of the media may request a press pass by emailing Eva Dienel at edienel@bsr.org. For those who cannot make the Conference, summary notes of all Conference sessions will be posted at www.bsr.org/session-summaries by Tuesday October 27.
