CSRwire.com — NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 2007--Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C)recently published its 2006 Citizenship Report, an annual report describing Citi's sustainability initiatives. The report is the company's sixth and explores the relationship of the company's business strategy to emerging social and environmental issues.

The cornerstone of Citi's environmental initiatives is our ESRM policy. We have significantly expanded the policy, originally created in 2003 to cover project finance, corporate and government loans and bond underwriting, with known use of proceeds. Where use of proceeds isknown, the updated policy now includes financial advisory mandates; equity investments above $5 million; equity underwriting in excess of $50 million; and letters of credit, bid bonds and performance bonds for which the instrument exceeds $50 million.
As Citi expands its global reach, we are committed to strengthening our sustainability efforts and continuing our dialogue with various key stakeholders, including clients and NGOs. We believe we have shared responsibilities to our clients, each other and our franchise and we must provide superior results for our shareholders while also focusing on the long-term well being of our franchise.
