HCCA to Hold Important Review of the Just Released OIG 2009 Work Plan

Part 1 2009 OIG Work Plan for Hospitals, October 23, 2008;Part 2 2009 OIG Work Plan for Physicians, October 24, 2008

MINNEAPOLIS, MN. - October 7, 2008 - The Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) announced today it will hold a two-part audio/web conference to review the recently released U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General’s 2009 Work Plan. Each session of this valuable two-part series is 90 minutes long and will begin at 12 Noon Central Time.

On October 23, 2008 Part I of this critical Audio/Web conference series will review the OIG Work Plan for Hospitals and on October 24, Part 2 will review the OIG Work Plan for Physicians.

Annually the OIG issues a Work Plan which briefly describes the various project areas for the coming year that the OIG perceives as critical to the mission of OIG and the Department and includes the various projects to be addressed during the fiscal year by the Office of Audit Services, Office of Evaluation and Inspections, Office of Investigations, and Office of Counsel to the Inspector General. Many providers use the OIG Work Plan as an annual road map—they identify relevant issues and determine what action may be needed.
