WALTHAM, MA. - March 19, 2007- The Ethics & Compliance Officer Association has announced the agenda for its 2007 Sponsoring Partner Forum. The forum takes place April 18-20, 2007, at the Hyatt Bonaventure in Weston, Florida, and is sponsored by Lyondell Chemical, Northeast Utilities, and TAP Pharmaceuticals.

The two-and-one-half-day program offers an invaluable opportunity for experienced ethics and compliance officers to contribute substantial thought leadership to some of the major issues facing the ethics and compliance community. The forum will accomplish its goals via roundtable discussions, networking events, and substantive sessions on a variety of topics including:

  • Creating a non retaliatory workplace
  • Emerging compliance challenges: A look at conducting business in India and Russia
  • Top 10 bribery traps: FCPA and more
  • Ethics and faith in the workplace
The forum also offers a mock trial that poses a timeless question regarding the source of moral failure. "The Modern Corporate Executive: Do Individuals Corrupt the System or Does the System Corrupt the Individual?", features Gary Brown of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, P.C., and Andrew Weissmann of Jenner & Block and former director of the Enron Task Force for the U.S. Department of Justice. This interactive session, developed and sponsored by Altria Group, Inc., invites the audience to weigh in on the answer to core questions regarding the source of corporate corruption.

Keynote speakers include Jon Hoak, vice president and chief ethics & compliance officer, Hewlett-Packard; Dr. David Shore, PhD., associate dean, School of Public Health and founding director, Trust Initiative, Harvard University; and Alan Yuspeh, senior vice president—ethics, compliance, and corporate responsibility, HCA, Inc. Among the topics they’ll address are trust, integrity, and the future of ethics and compliance.

Registration is now open to ECOA Sponsoring Partner members for the 2007 Sponsoring Partner Forum. To view the complete agenda or register online, please visit www.theecoa.org.
