ECOA Announces Director of Program Management and Alliances

WALTHAM, MA – December 20, 2006- The Ethics & Compliance Officer Association has announced that it has hired Tim C. Mazur as Director of Program Management and Alliances. In this role, Mr. Mazur will lead several new ECOA initiatives including the development of regional networks, an accredited certificate program, and the recently announced research alliance with the Ethics Resource Center.

Mr. Mazur has been actively involved in the ethics and compliance field for nearly twenty years. Most recently he was Vice President of Ethics at Countrywide Financial Corporation in Plano, Texas, where he also served as the Chair of the ECOA Financial Services Industry Group. He previously worked as Regional Ethics and Compliance Officer for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and for KPMG as Director of Integrity Management Services. In addition, over one-half of his career in ethics and compliance was spent in leadership positions at prominent nonprofit organizations including the Ethics Resource Center, the Council for Ethics in Economics, the Josephson Institute, and the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University.
