Canada's Environmental Leaders To Be Celebrated April 2nd
“This is the most competitive year yet for the GLOBE Awards, our panel will have an extremely difficult time choosing from amongst them as they have all shown exceptional economic and environmental leadership.” says Dr. John Wiebe, President and CEO of the GLOBE Foundation of Canada.
The GLOBE Awards are presented to businesses with a track record of environmental innovation. The Awards for Environmental Excellence are divided into six categories. (Finalists listed below)
The Awards panel included some of Canada’s most respected business and environmental leaders. Robert A. Fung is chairman of the Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation, Patricia McCunn-Miller former Vice President, Environment and Regulatory Affairs for EnCana Corporation, Ken Ogilvie, Executive Director of Pollution Probe, one of Canada's most distinguished environmental groups. Dr. Michael Raymont, Vice-President, Technology and Industry Support, with the National Research Council of Canada.

GLOBE 2004 will be held from March 31 to April 2, 2004 at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre. GLOBE is the world’s largest environmental business summit, held biennially in Vancouver, Canada. GLOBE 2004 is the eighth in the GLOBE series, and represents the largest gathering of corporate leaders, policy makers and scientists in the “business of the environment.”
