CALGARY, ALBERTA - August 8, 2007 - Enbridge Inc. (TSX and NYSE:ENB) has released its fourth annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report offering a look at the Company's social responsibility performance, focusing on four main areas - corporate governance, economic performance, environmental performance and social performance.
"We believe that great companies are judged by what they do, not by what they say," said Patrick D. Daniel, President & Chief Executive Officer of Enbridge Inc. "Our CSR report is one of the most effective means we have for communicating how we are doing in meeting our social obligations."

This year, for the first time, the Company has included a CSR performance scorecard at the front of its report. The Company also included mini-scorecards at the front of each of the main sections of the CSR report, and expanded its public greenhouse gas emissions reporting to include its assets in the United States.

"We will remain one of the most sustainable corporations in the world only if we set clear targets and submit our performance to a thorough and transparent reporting process," said Mr. Daniel.

Enbridge's CSR Report is written in accordance with the G3 Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). An internal audit of the report was also completed by Enbridge's Audit Services Department.

This year, for the second time, the Company assembled an external CSR advisory group to provide independent feedback on its report. This seven-person advisory group consisted of individuals from a variety of organizations who were familiar with Enbridge and knowledgeable on a range of CSR issues. The group participated in a one-day workshop and follow-up conference call, providing input on how Enbridge could improve its report.
