November 9, 2007 - Toyota Motor Europe has released its sixth European Sustainability Report, with a special focus on climate change and CO2 reduction, for the 2006 fiscal year (April 06 - March 07).

Key highlights in FY2006:
As a baseline for reporting, this report makes reference to the G3 international standard developed by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and has been independently assured by Deloitte.
Toyota Motor Europe oversees the wholesale sales and marketing of Toyota and Lexus vehicles, parts and accessories, and Toyota’s European manufacturing and engineering operations. Toyota employs around 80,000 people in Europe and has invested over €6 billion since 1990. Toyota's operations in Europe are supported by a network of 28 National Marketing and Sales Companies in 48 countries, a total of around 3,000 sales outlets, and eight manufacturing plants, with a ninth under construction in Russia. In 2006, Toyota sold 1,124,119 Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Europe, enjoying its tenth consecutive record year of sales.
