--Philadelphia is the Second Stop of Go Green Expo's National Greening Tour--

PHILADELPHIA, PA. - February 12, 2009 - On the heels of a successful kickoff event in Los Angeles, Go Green Expo takes its eco-showcase to the second stop of its national tour, making its debut in Philadelphia, PA. On March 13-15, 2009 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Go Green Expo will bring the latest and greatest in all things green from fuel efficient cars and natural personal care products to greener gadgets that help us live more sustainably. With over 10,000 green-enthusiasts in attendance at the recent LA show, event organizers, sponsors and exhibitors are anticipating another great success for the Philadelphia event.

"We are thrilled to bring Go Green Expo to Philadelphia at a time when the environment needs so much attention and consumers need solutions for living their lives more sustainably," said Bradford Rand, CEO of Go Green Expo. "By bringing so many great local and national companies, speakers and educational elements together, this will be of great benefit to the people of Philadelphia."

Go Green Expo also announces today the region's top news entities; The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News and NBC Channel 10 have all signed on as media partners for the event to help further communicate the importance of thinking and living sustainably to the people of Philadelphia.

This year's event in Philadelphia is a three day program for business buyers and consumers. Go Green Expo highlights the latest in environmentally-friendly products, services and businesses, as well as interactive presentations and panel discussions in numerous categories of green living topics, including business, clean energy, conservation, food, health and beauty, home and building and nonprofit organizations.

"In keeping with NBC Universal's ongoing dedication to educate its viewers about going green, we are proud to sponsor Go Green Expo this year, and help educate the residents of Greater Philadelphia about the importance of sustainable living," said NBC 10 President and General Manager Dennis Bianchi.

"The Philadelphia Inquirer and philly.com are locally owned and operated, so we take a special interest in our community," said Carol Dooling, Marketing and Communications Director of The Philadelphia Newspapers. "Partnering with Go Green Expo comes at an opportune time to further educate Philadelphians on adopting green lifestyles."

Go Green Expo chose the Pennsylvania Convention Center as the place for its business and consumer showcase because it is a venue that strives to implement green practices throughout their facility; everything from the equipment used to power its operations to the materials used within the center show consideration for reduced environmental impact.

Committed to Green:

In an effort to make every aspect of the show as green as possible, Go Green Expo has enlisted Brighter Planet to calculate the event’s electricity usage, on-site fuel use, staff travel, event vehicles, waste disposal and attendee travel, and then offset their carbon emissions for a completely carbon neutral show. Go Green Expo is reducing their emissions by using solar-powered energy on the expo floor provided by SolaRover, a mobile solar power systems distributor, eliminating the need for conventional electricity and reducing the Expo's footprint.  The Go Green Expo National Tour will boast the latest in green design and function, supported by Metropolitan Exposition Services and Printing Responsibly, such as: 100% compostable and biodegradable table top coverings, recycled material booth ID signs, biodegradable banner material, soy and water based inks and a waste management program that takes environmental and social ramifications into account by utilizing local donation programs.

Attendees will be able to bring their used CFL light bulbs to Go Green Expo and have them recycled for free by Next Level Recycling, the nation's first self-service CFL recycling center. For each of its shows nationwide, Go Green Expo will use 100% biodegradable trash bags provided by its title sponsor, Perf Go Green, in an effort to ensure the waste that does go in the trash bin will eventually biodegrade in the landfills.
