CSR Profile of Conscious Goods Alliance

The Conscious Goods Alliance (CGA) is a group of committed businesses that believe in promoting conscious lifestyles, products and brands, as well as consumers’ ability to vote with their dollars. Started by Stephen Brooks and Zak Zaidman, founders of Kopali Organics, the CGA is now in its third year, touring with 15 conscious companies. In a bus furnished with a bamboo interior, coconut palm floors, solar powered electronics and recycled paper countertops; the 'veggie bus' is a mobile ecological showroom. In its yearlong journey across the United States, the CGA bus visits almost all Whole Foods and Wild Oats Markets, in addition to other retail outlets, universities, schools, farmers markets and community centers. The crew conducts product sampling, bus tours and provides educational talks on sustainability and environmental stewardship. The CGA bus will be on the road until March 2009.
