Kruger Products L.P. is Canada’s leading manufacturer of quality tissue products for household, industrial and commercial use. Our popular Canadian consumer brands include Cashmere® and Purex® bathroom tissue, SpongeTowels® paper towels, Scotties®’ facial tissue and the White Swan® product line-up, which are available in mass merchants, grocery, club, drug, discount and convenience retailers across Canada. Our White Cloud® brand is available in select locations in the United States and Mexico. We also serve major away-from-home markets across North America, including property management, manufacturing, healthcare, accommodations, education and food service.
We are based in Mississauga, Ontario, and have manufacturing operations in New Westminster, British Columbia; Gatineau, Crabtree and Sherbrooke, Quebec; and Memphis, Tennessee. Approximately 2,300 people work in these six locations.
Our major shareholder, Kruger Inc., is a leading producer of publication papers, tissue, lumber and other wood products, corrugated cartons from recycled fibres, green and renewable energy, and wines and spirits. The company is also a North American leader in paper and paperboard recycling. Founded in Montreal in 1904, Kruger Inc. has approximately 5,000 employees and operates facilities in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as in the United States. The remaining shares are held by KP Tissue, which is a publically traded entity on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: KPT).
Launched in 2010, Sustainability 2015 is our five-year plan to reduce our environmental impact. We set nine quantifiable targets in key areas, including fibre, energy, emissions, water, waste, packaging, and transport. Collectively, these targets demonstrably extend our ongoing efforts to make our products and operations more sustainable.
In 2011, Kruger Products became the first Canadian tissue manufacturer to earn Forest Stewardship Council® certification by the Rainforest Alliance. To date, we have one of the largest portfolios of third-party certified tissue products across North America and we investigate opportunities to continue to grow this portfolio.
In 2012, Kruger Products became an official partner with Earth Day Canada, through which we encourage employees, customers and consumers to consider their impacts on the environment by making practical changes.
Kruger Products is an enthusiastic and committed corporate sponsor. We invest time in community-building activities and local philanthropy, thereby contributing to the health, welfare and social wellbeing of neighbours and community partners. We support a host of national, regional and local charitable causes, including long-standing commitments with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, women’s amateur curling through the annual Scotties Tournament of Hearts, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities, among others. Often these initiatives occur in concert with local retailer partners and customers.www.krugreproducts.ca www.sustainability2015.ca
