Business and Society: A Web Conference Series
Presented, in partnership, by The Aspen Institute's Center for Business Education and the College of Management and Technology at Walden University
As part of the ongoing commitment to developing leaders for a sustainable global society, the College of Management and Technology and The Aspen Institute's Center for Business Education have joined together to bring a free webinar series. Business and Society: A Web Conference Series will feature thought leaders from leading corporations, academic institutions and NGOs discussing practical approaches for bringing positive social impact to life.
The series starts May 19th at 12 pm Eastern with Dan Bross, Senior Director of Corporate Citizenship at Microsoft and Michael Gordon, Professor of Business Information Technology at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, discussing Corporate Social Responsibility and the Information Technology Sector. The web conference will be hosted by Dr. Ahmed Naumaan, associate dean for the NTU College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Walden University.

Dan Bross is the Senior Director of Corporate Citizenship at Microsoft. He leads a corporate citizenship effort that incorporates Microsoft’s business investments with the goal of significantly broadening the reach of technology in underserved communities. Microsoft aims to deliver the benefits of relevant, accessible and affordable software to the 5 billion people who today have no access to technology or the opportunities it affords, with a goal of reaching the next 1 billion people by 2015.
Michael Gordon is Professor of Business Information Technology at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. His research looks at the relationship between information technology and social responsibility.
