Sustainability is becoming increasingly important in our global environment, as wise decision-makers examine the future impact of today's choices – on the environment, on the community, and on their customers.
At the American Society for Quality (ASQ) we recognize sustainability as a significant component of social responsibility. As the world moves towards being more accountable for the impact of today's decisions on the future, social responsibility becomes filled with diverse meaning as it gains widespread use.
ASQ invites you to a special meeting of stakeholders on February 26, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. – noon in Milwaukee, WI. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together a coalition of leaders to dialogue, share and exchange knowledge to achieve greater impact and context in the area of social responsibility.
At this meeting you will:
• Network with and learn from organizations that are giving shape to different aspects of sustainability
• Explore best practices and benchmarking to accelerate learning
• Discuss the alignment of quality and measurement systems to create sustainable programs
• Discuss the potential impact of the ISO 26000 Voluntary Standard on Social Responsibility
This unique session is designed to learn what a wide range of groups are doing to advance the adaptation of social responsibility. The ultimate goal is to help speed the adoption of sustainability across diverse constituencies.
Please RSVP to Tory Dolan at tdolan@asq.org or 414-298-8789 x7284 by February 13th.
