The Joint Conference: International Thermal Treatment Technologies & Hazardous Waste Combustors

The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will present "The Joint Conference: International Thermal Treatment Technologies (IT3) & Hazardous Waste Combustors (HWC)," May 18-22, 2009, in Cincinnati, OH.

Industry experts involved with thermal treatment technologies for the management of hazardous, radioactive, mixed, munitions, medical/pharmaceutical, and municipal wastes will discuss practical applications of technical and scientific advances in the field.

The Joint Conference will also offer invited and contributed papers that address approaches to safely managing waste streams amenable to thermal treatment processes, and evaluate their associated costs, risks, and impacts. There will be a particular focus on hazardous waste management including HWC Maximum Achievable Control Technology status and policy updates, emission studies, testing and monitoring approaches, and risk assessment updates.
