With global standards changing in 2015 for sustainability reporting and disclosure, 3BL Media is presenting a webinar aimed at communications professionals.
Next-Gen Sustainability Reports: A Primer for Communications Professionals” will be held on Tuesday, April 7 at 11 am ET. The event is free and will last 45 minutes.
“Organizations like the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) are issuing new standards and frameworks that impact how companies communicate their sustainability performance, both in CSR reports and SEC filings. It’s important that the PR professionals responsible for communicating sustainability performance understand what has changed and gain exposure to best practices,” said Dave Armon, CMO at 3BL Media, which is hosting a series of webinars aimed at sustainability communicators.
Webinar attendees will hear a high-level explanation of the benefits of sustainability reporting and disclosure. They will also hear about SASB’s progress in issuing standards for 80 industries by 2016, and gain an understanding from GRI of how standards are changing to GRI4 in 2015.
Content marketing methodology is being used by a growing number of corporations as they share their sustainability data with an online audience.
AECOM, the global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets, will describe how the sustainability report is being retooled to provide a framework for ongoing storytelling through online and social channels.
Presenters include Shivani Rajpal, Manager Training and Coaching Programs, GRI; Chinyere Ojini, AECOM Communications Specialist; and Nicolai Lundy, Education Manager, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). Armon will moderate the webinar.
