Today ethics is implicitly a part of most corporations’ CSR strategy. Many companies believe that they should do no harm and act in a socially responsible manner. But who are the exemplar corporations and what are they doing creatively to improve social impact, their company’s bottom line and employee engagement?

Join the Rutgers Institute for Ethical Leadership (IEL) at its Fourth Annual Ethical Leadership Conference, titled Ethics in Action – A Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), on April 19, 2013, at the Newark Museum to hear from top academic and business experts in the field.

Participants will hear first-hand from exemplar corporations about current strategies and trends, and discuss the future and what leaders in the field are doing to creatively improve society and their company’s bottom line.

Conference Experts Include:

Timothy J. McClimon, Vice President, CSR, American Express and President of American Express Foundation – McClimon is the author of a widely-read corporate blog, CSR Now!, which highlights and engages readers into a dialogue of what is going on in CSR today. American Express, in its fifth consecutive year, is ranked as one of the world’s most ethical companies by Ethisphere Institute.

Jim Berk, Chief Executive Officer, Participant Media, will be a special guest presenter. Participant Media takes a unique approach to CSR as a for-profit film company that entertains as well as 'inspires and compels social action.'

Archie Carroll, Ph.D., Terry College of Business, University of Georgia, is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in CSR from the Institute of Management at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.

Michael Barnett, Vice Dean for Academic Programs at Rutgers Business School, is a leading scholar on short-term and long-term efficacy of CSR investment and the company’s ROI.
