The INTERNATIONAL GREEN AWARDS are internationally established as the leading advocate of best practices in sustainability across business, government and citizen initiatives. The Awards canvas the globe for the best in class examples of sustainability, with the aim of sharing the most creative and innovative ideas to inspire change.
In its 6th year, the RSA accredited INTERNATIONAL GREEN AWARDS™ is broadening its commitment to promote best practice in sustainability through a unique membership platform. This platform will draw on a wide range of experts, influencers and professionals in the discipline of sustainability and environment to share a pan-global view on sustainability.
2010 saw the inaugural year of the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' honouring Sir David Attenborough. The search for another deserving citizen continues this year, and also sees the introduction of the 'Green Celebrity Award'. The latter will be open to public voting, through social networks and the INTERNATIONAL GREEN AWARDS™ website.
The INTERNATIONAL GREEN AWARDS™ are open for entry in 20 categories, seeking the Best Green Large Enterprise through to Best Sustainable Investment across the world. More information on categories and entering are available on our new website.
The Award open for entries in June 2011, with the 'green carpet' being rolled out for winners on 24th November at the Natural History Museum, London.
