The 2011 Summit will focus on the theme "Envisioning Business at its Best." At this event, CECP will present the findings of a new joint report from CECP and Accenture focused on "Driving Sustainable Value Creation" and will share the industry's first look at recent trends in corporate giving. Breakout sessions and interactive workshops will provide opportunities for in-depth exploration into pressing topics.
On June 1, Anthony Wilder Miller, Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer, U.S. Department of Education, will share his agenda for urgent education reform and the public-private collaboration that will be needed to deliver a globally-competitive, 21st century workforce.
On June 2, Professor Stuart L. Hart, author of "Capitalism at the Crossroads: The Unlimited Business Opportunities in Solving the World's Most Difficult Problems," will discuss new ideas around private sector-based approaches to development that creates profitable businesses that simultaneously make a societal contribution.
On the afternoon of June 1, CECP will present the 11th Annual Excellence Awards in Corporate Philanthropy, which recognize two corporations and one nonprofit for their excellence according to the following criteria: CEO leadership, dedication to measurement, partnership, and innovation. The Excellence Awards event, including a panel discussion with the winners moderated by Darell Hammond, CEO and Founder of KaBOOM!, will be streamed live on CECP's website from 4:30 - 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 1.
