Building A More Sustainable Supply Chain: P&G Supplier Scorecard Year 1 Learning and What's Next

Organizer: Procter & Gamble

Date: 04.07.11, 11:00AM – 04.07.11, 11:45AM

Location:Online Webcast

Sponsor:Procter & Gamble

Website: www-waa-akam.thomson-webcast.net/us/dispatching...

The inaugural P&G Supplier Environmental Sustainability Scorecard was deployed last year to measure and improve the environmental performance of the Company's key suppliers and business partners with three goals:

  1. Enhance supply chain collaboration;
  2. Improve key environmental indicators; and
  3. Encourage the sharing of ideas and capabilities to deliver more sustainable products and services for our consumers

The P&G Supplier scorecard assesses the total environmental footprint of external business partners and encourages continued improvement by measuring energy use, water use, waste disposal, and greenhouse gas emissions on a year-by-year basis. This tool is flexible and user-friendly, so that any supplier from manufacturing to advertising can track key indicators in a way that works for them and P&G. In this way, the scorecard drives collaboration and creates opportunities for innovation.

In this webcast, you will:

  • Be the first to hear learning from the first year results of P&G's supplier sustainability scorecard
  • Be the first to see P&G's updated 2011 Scorecard, which reflects best practices learned in Year 1
  • Gather important learning from P&G on evaluating environmental progress in the supply chain

P&G continues to be committed to transparent reporting against our stated sustainability goals. This is why P&G is hosting a webcast to share these results, discuss how the results can lead to meaningful environmental progress, and answer questions on next steps and best practices.

Speakers:

  • Dr. Len Sauers, Vice President, Global Sustainability, P&G
  • Rick Hughes, Vice President, Chief Purchasing Officer, P&G
  • Larry Loftus, Director, Global Purchases Capability & Strategy, P&G
  • Dr. Gerald Rebitzer, Sustainability Leader, Amcor (P&G Supplier)
