Background: The global race is on for clean technology solutions to power the world's energy needs. China is poised to pass world solar and wind manufacturing leaders in Europe, Japan, and North America in the next three years, and it already dominates the markets for solar hot water and small hydropower. According to the Pew Charitable Center, the clean energy sector in some of the world's largest economies has seen explosive investment growth since 2005. In fact, it is up 230% and is projected to grow by another $200 billion by the end of 2010.

About the Forum: The Maryland-Asia Environmental Partnership (MD-AEP) is pleased to announce its 3rd Energy and Environmental Leadership Series forum, entitled The Global Clean Energy Race: Competing in Asia's Renewable Energy Marketplace as part of a four-part energy outreach series in partnership with the Maryland Clean Energy Center. This will be an interactive forum as industry experts will respond to moderator questions on several topic themes including the the U.S. competitive position on renewable technologies for wind, solar, hydropower and geothermal power and export opportunities to Asia's energy and enviornmental marketplace.
