On Thursday, October 15, 2009, Rainforest Action Network will host its 15th annual benefit dinner, REVEL - The Art of Activism. REVEL is a fabulous nite of artisan cocktails, organic wines, local microbrews, delicious desserts, a tempting raffle, bidding in the fabulous silent auction, a raging dance party, late-night nibbles and the World Rainforest Awards to honor some of the planet’s inspiring visionaries and activists.
Honorees include the Assembly of Affected Communities, accepted by Emergildo Criollo & Humberto Piaguaje – Indigenous Ecuadorean activists fighting against corporate behemoth, Chevron; and Bill and Lynne Twist - global visionaries of equity and sustainability for all, and founders of The Pachamama Alliance.
REVEL is often heralded as SF’s best environmental party...and it’s all for a great cause!
