ECO WORLD 2010

The 1st ever platform created in Singapore to highlight Green Connect, a combination of Environmental Issues, Green Business initiatives and Corporate Social Responsibility policies all under one roof. Organised by Local Global Exhibition & Trade Pte Ltd, ECO World 2010 is supported by Singapore Tourism Board, Singapore Exhibitions & Conventions Bureau, Singapore Business Federation, Association of Small & Medium Enterprises, Singapore Compact, ECO Singapore, Cosmetics Toiletries & Fragrances Association Singapore, The Green Business Times, Simple Lohas and AsiaIsGreen.com. ECO World 2010 provides both the public and private sector a platform to promote, present and demonstrate the usage of environmentally-friendly technology and products. Being a trade cum consumer exhibition, makes ECO World 2010 a perfect place to purchase environmentally-friendly technology and products as well as learn the benefits of adopting the "ECO lifestyle". ECO World 2010 is also an alternative platform for organisations to reap the benefits of performing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and cost saving strategies by going green. With a whole line up of events - Conference, Green Jobs Initiative, ECO Match (Business Matching Session), ECO Kids, ECO Fashion Chic and The ECO Enterprising Awards 2010 for the youth, this event will be an international event looking at exhibitors and delegates participating from Asia, The Middle East, US, UK and Europe. We hope to promote the related technology plus the use of biodegradable and eco-friendly raw materials, recycled products and packaging, water treatment technology, Eco-friendly materials for construction and fitting, green decorative materials, personal lifestyle, fashion, beauty products and many more. Ultimately, we encourage the masses to use the technology and products which do not comply with our living standards, improve the environment thus providing us with clean air, water and overall public health. General Information
Constructing a model of an "ECO-Friendly Home", visitors will experience the operational aspects as well as the benefits of using such products. We will also be having an awards ceremony - ECO World Enterprising Award. There will be two categories - Most Promising Technology / Product & Visitor's Choice Award. We will display Eco-friendly products constructed by students from the Polytechnics in the "ECO-Friendly Home". Each participating polytechnic will be given a space within the 60sqm area. To encourage the public's participation, throughout the 3 days of our exhibition, our visitors will play a vital role in voting for the most liked innovation in our Visitor's Choice Award. Our visitors will be able to lock in their votes at the voting booths present on site. Green Jobs ECO World 2010 will provide related companies with a platform to promote various Green jobs available. This will enlighten the visitors from both trade and consumer sector on the opportunities present in the Green Industry. Green Entrepreneurship The product or technology displayed in the "ECO Friendly Home" will provide our youth with a platform to display the traits of Green Entrepreneurship being originality, innovation and potential in individual technology or product introduced. This could open up new business opportunities for our youth amongst the private sector.
