Sing for Hope: A Musical Gala
Grameen Foundation and Sing for Hope are co-hosting "Sing for Hope: A
Musical Gala Benefiting Grameen Foundation's Children's Scholarship
Program." Twenty-five exciting young artists from hit Broadway shows
including The Lion King and leading opera companies including The
Metropolitan, are donating their time and talent for this unique
performance benefiting Grameen Foundation's scholarships for children in

Special musical guests include Asian rock icon Salman Ahmad of Junon and
pop sensation The Green Children. Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the 2006 Nobel
Peace Laureate and the founder of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, will also be

Sing for Hope was founded by opera singers with a desire to use their
music for social change and supports artists who create events that
benefit humanitarian causes. Its motto is "Uniting Artists, Uniting
Communities." It is led by founding director Camilla Zamora and
co-director Monica Yunus, the daughter of 2006 Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad
