Corporate Social Responsibility Event
9.20.2007 - 9.21.2007
The Emerging Global Governance Paradigm The Role of Business and Its Implications for Companies, Stakeholders and Society
In partnership with host ESADE Business School and key supporter IESE
Business School, EABIS is pleased to announce its 6th Annual Colloquium,
the world's largest collaborative Business- Academic conference on
corporate responsibility.
An anticipated audience of 350 senior business practitioners, academic
thought leaders, policy-makers and civil society representatives will
gather at ESADE to debate and shape the future agenda for business
practice, research and education in this vital area.
Participants will examine the contributions, commitments and impacts that
business can make through governance to address the key issues and
challenges of globalisation and sustainable development. To develop as
comprehensive a picture as possible, participants will approach this theme
within a conceptual framework that incorporates the "macro" level of
economies and societies, the "meso" level of industry sectors and regions,
and the "micro" level of the individual firm.
Delving Deep into Global Governance and the Role of Business
The Colloquium will create an outstanding arena for participants to engage
with leaders from business, academia, policy and civil society on the
emerging global governance paradigm.
The conference will address this subject in plenary from four different
angles:
The Context of Global Governance and the Role of Business in
Society
New Forms of Global Governance Self Regulation, Voluntary
Standards and Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships
Business, Global Governance and Global Issues The Challenges and
Opportunities of Climate Change
New Kinds of Leadership for Global Governance and the Implications
for Management Development
Emphasis will be placed throughout on a high level of audience
participation and a genuinely interactive debate of the core issues.
